Khulna Rankings Methodology

METHODOLOGY doctor-v1.0

How Khulna Rankings Works

Transparent evidence, moderated community experience, and labelled comparison sets.

Evidence Score (0–100)

For doctor profiles, version 1.0 allocates: relevant specialty and qualifications 25; relevant experience evidence 15; additional verified qualifications 10; academic/professional designation 10; registration or identity evidence 10; institutional affiliation/professional standing 10; and evidence quality, freshness and profile completeness 20. Missing facts are not invented. Correlated evidence must not be counted twice.

People Rating (1–5)

Only approved first-party reviews count. Every submission starts Pending. Pending, rejected, flagged, and needs-verification reviews contribute zero to the public count, rating and rank. The public average is confidence-adjusted with a Bayesian prior of 3.8 based on 10 notional reviews to reduce extreme movement from tiny samples.

Review Confidence and weight

  • 0 approved: No Data, 0% community weight
  • 1–4: Low, 5%
  • 5–19: Developing, 12%
  • 20–49: Moderate, 22%
  • 50+: High, 35%

Final Score = Evidence Score × (1 − review weight) + confidence-adjusted People Rating × 20 × review weight. With zero approved reviews, Final Score equals Evidence Score. Review popularity never becomes the majority signal.

Ranks and updates

A rank is always tied to the displayed comparison set, such as currently indexed doctors, a specialty, or active filters. Scores are recalculated when protected listing data or review moderation changes. Formula changes receive a new version and calculation history.

Verification, corrections and paid placement

“Verified” is used only for the specific field and source actually checked. Professionals and users may request corrections or claim a profile, but cannot set scores, ranks, or approve/delete reviews. Organic rank is not for sale. Any future paid placement must be labelled Sponsored and kept outside organic scoring.

Limitations

This is an informational comparison tool, not medical advice, a complete professional register, or a guarantee of care quality or outcomes. Public information can change. Users should confirm credentials, availability, fees and suitability directly with authoritative sources and providers.
